Palin Doesn’t Read Newspapers Either

Hoooo boy, the hits just keep comin’:

Now, the problem here — I think — is that this entire Couric debacle is setting the bar for Sarah Palin so low, that any performance at Thursday’s debate that is the least bit watchable, without barnburning gaffes, will exceed expectations. And the resulting skewed perception will be: “Hey, she’s not that bad.” And the blame will return to the asshole Liberal MainStream Media elitists who dare back a Vice Presidential candidate into a corner and grill her on what’s on her coffee table.

Tina Fey Parodies Sarah Palin… Using Her Exact Words

Being away at a conference this week, I didn’t get a chance to see Tina Fey’s latest parody of Sarah Palin.  But, as CNN points out, this imitation provides twice the hilarity, given that the ridiculous, rambling, untrue words… are from Mrs. Palin herself!  This woman is proving to be a complete Post Turtle (illustration).

McCain Loses His Head

George Will on John McCain’s “Off With His Head!” political philosophy.

Excerpt:

Conservatives who insist that electing McCain is crucial usually start, and increasingly end, by saying he would make excellent judicial selections. But the more one sees of his impulsive, intensely personal reactions to people and events, the less confidence one has that he would select judges by calm reflection and clear principles, having neither patience nor aptitude for either.

It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed?

Can we survive four more years of rash, misguided, shoot-from-the-hip political decisions that can dramatically alter the course of this nation’s (and the world’s) history?

McCain is Lame, Doesn’t Know Who Reigns in Spain

Listen as John McCain refuses to answer a direct question numerous times in an effort to mask the fact that he does not know Prime Minister Zapatero of Spain. In his evasive responses, it almost sounds as if McCain is lumping him in with “those who would do harm to our country”, and that he’s not even sure what continent Spain is on. Unbelievable.

Of course, this is only the latest in a string of McCain camp strategies to habitually recite talking points, no matter the situation, and no matter the relevance to the direct question being asked, in an effort to mask incompetence or lack of knowledge. John McCain: Delivering Us From ‘Evil’

Chris Kelly has a funny, brief piece on today’s Huffington Post about John McCain’s vapid, shallow ‘responses’ to substantial issues (and a bit about more Palin lies):

“Evil must be defeated!” — John McCain 8/16/08

“Enough is enough! We’re going to put an end to greed!” — John McCain 9/17/08

America’s choice is clear. Barack Obama, a messianic egomaniac who thinks he’s, like, our savior or something, or John McCain, who will defeat evil and put an end to greed.

John McCain will not only take on special interests and Washington insiders, he’ll fundamentally alter human nature. And without raising taxes, either.

LMAO.
