Watch the Mars Phoenix Landing

Well, an artist’s rendering of it anyway, as I’m not aware of a ground crew set up for filming.

Watch the Phoenix arrive at Mars, deploy its braking parachute, jettison its heat shield, fire its thrusters, land, unfurl its solar panels, deploy its instruments, scoop up some of Mars, and begin its analysis.

See more images from the Phoenix at its web site. You can even follow Phoenix updates as they occur on Twitter at twitter.com/MarsPhoenix.

Thanks, Pop

Hitler Is A Meme

If you don’t know what “Star Wars Kid”, “Leave Britney Alone!” and “FTL” are… you might not get this video — my Der Untergang / The Downfall (meta) parody. If you do get it, then by all means favorite/rate it, and pass it along to everyone in your address book, lest you be stricken with cooties.

Heading out camping for the long weekend. Back on Tuesday. Enjoy your holiday, everyone.

UPDATE: Sadly, my video has been removed by the Copyright Ges… er, Police after just receiving just under 60,000 views in 3 weeks.  I guess parody has no place under the DMCA.

It’s Tee Time

Well, it was fun while it lasted, but the Flyers have succumbed to the superior puck handling of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Their defense was too slow & stodgy for the likes of Malkin & Crosby. Biron, who shone against the positional shooting of the Montreal Canadiens, seemed to be left frozen at times as the nimble Penguins shooters made flashy moves and stuffed quick rebounds. The swift skates of Briere and Carter could never produce any sustained offensive threats.

However, Pittsburgh Twidiots take note: your 4-1 drubbing is on deck.
